Louise Tourigny is a professor at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where she has been working since 2001. She specializes in the study of physical and psychological stress among professionals. Louise published articles in refereed journals and presented her work at international conferences in China, Europe, Latin, and North America. She is E-RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance and completed her training at The Studio in Madison with Alex Pfeiffer in 2014.
In addition, she is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She completed 40 hours of manual therapy training with Integrated Health Yoga Therapy in 2015 and levels 1 and 2 with Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in 2013.
Louise has attended workshops with Cindy Lee, Jason Crandell and Gary Kraftsow at the Yoga Journal Conference in Lake Geneva, WI in 2009. She follows the lineage of Krishnamacharya and Desikachar, and is inspired by the principles of alignment and insights of Iyengar.
Nicole completed a 200-hrs Yoga Teacher Certification at the Rishikul Yogashala in Rishikesh, India in 2017.
Nicole has worked in the school district of Janesville since 2003. She has practiced yoga since 2006 and has been teaching it at the YMCA since 2008. She completed the “Yoga Up Teacher Training” with Dragonfly Hot Yoga in 2015.
Nicole approaches yoga with a nurturing and thoughtful attitude. Self-awareness and discovery constitute the foundation of her practice. She believes that whatever imbalance, struggle, or constraint we face in our lives can be explored and enlightened through yoga.
Jessica Hefty graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007. She has been working as a triage nurse with Dean Health System in Madison since 2013. She also worked as a public health nurse from 2008 to 2012 for the Rock County Health Department and as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital New Generations Birthing Center in Janesville, WI from 2007 to 2008. She is specialized in holistic nursing which focuses on promoting health and wellness while integrating conventional nursing and complementary interventions (Holistic Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2007). She is 200 hour YTT with Pamela Bliss at YogAsylum in Brookfield, WI since 2010. She further completed her training in pre/postnatal yoga with Rhonda Kantor at the Global Yoga Center of Chicago in 2011. Jessica is 600 hour certified massage therapist. She did her training at ASpiriTouch Institute in 2000 with a focus on therapeutic massage, shiatsu, deep tissue and Reiki.
Jessica is a passionate instructor who wants to make yoga accessible for all. She developed a constructive and holistic approach to yoga in which she integrates her expertise in holistic nursing, applied knowledge, intuition, and classical yoga training. She currently offers Yoga Mama Series and Yoga Chair Series.
